What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Worker - Adult Crisis Stabilization position at Sheppard Pratt?
The Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit is a 22-bed unit offering psychiatric care for the treatment of major mental illnesses where the average length of stay is 8 days.
Position shift: 3pm-11:30pm and 11pm-730am / 40 hours weekly, including every other weekend and holidays.
As a Mental Health Worker you will:

As a Mental Health Worker you will:
- Participate in the planning and evaluation of patient needs based on patient behaviors.
- Provide direct patient care services in accordance with the treatment plan and under the direction of a professional nurse.
- Assist in providing a safe and therapeutic environment according to established policies and procedures.
- HS Diploma/GED.
- Pursuit of Human Services or Psychiatric related degree preferred.
- Past direct care or related experience strongly preferred.
- Must be available to work every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday).
- All new clinical staff will begin their extended clinical orientation/training immediately following your first day of employment.
