Supervisory Responsibilities:
- While this role does not have any direct reports, it is responsible for leading an interdepartmental team to complete an assigned project on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
- Delegates work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience, and time constraints.
- Holds team members accountable for milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Leads the planning, execution, and delivery of HR projects involving process improvements, policy updates, system implementations, or program rollouts.
- Develops and manages project timelines, budgets, and communication strategies for assigned initiatives.
- Defines project scope and objectives in alignment with HR and organizational priorities.
- Partners with HRIS and IT to support system integrations, data migrations, and technology enhancements.
- Tracks and reports project performance using established metrics, providing updates and recommendations to HR leadership.
- Oversees vendor relationships related to HR projects, ensuring compliance with service levels, timelines, and deliverables.
- Conducts cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project; prepares and implements a budget based on estimates. Conducts risk assessments; reports identified risks to management; provides recommendations for mitigation of risk. Proactively identifies and resolves issues to main project momentum. In the event issues or risks are incurred, the HR Project Manager resolves or escalates timely to senior management for direction.
- Meets with stakeholders and senior management to present and gain feedback and commitment on solutions, issues, and risk mitigation recommendation; helps to identify gaps in effective network of internal and external subject matter experts including senior management.
- Facilitates change management and communication efforts to ensure successful adoption of new HR initiatives.
- Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project; serves as the primary point of contact for all project-related issues and resolutions of issues.
- Acts as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors; communicates and collaborates with organization development and marketing teams to provide training and information required to inform stakeholders about new projects, programs, and systems; plans and may execute an appropriate training program for project users
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
- Throughout project, prepares a comprehensive lesson learned artifact and debrief for project stakeholders, sponsor, and senior management.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Work requires a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field and at least three years of related experience with HR projects. PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications highly desirable.
