- Perform various food service assignments related to the serving of food to patients, staff, visitors, and guests on a rotating basis
- Depending on specific assignment and schedule, perform one or more of the duties related to set-up of food and service area, assistance in food preparation, serving, food delivery, and maintaining cleanliness of area and equipment
- Various cleaning and sanitation assignments including dish and pot washing, sweeping, mopping, assisting with putting away deliveries, floor cleaning and overall kitchen sanitation

What we need from you.
- Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to follow verbal and written instructions, and to count
- Work requires basic knowledge of food service practices and procedures (i.e. portion control, short order cooking, and sanitation), and knowledge of operation of equipment
- Previous experience in a food services related position strongly preferred
- Depending on specific assignment, work may require the possession of a valid driver's
- license AND compliance with Sheppard Pratt requirements to operate a hospital vehicle at time of appointment and through duration of employment
- Work requires almost constant standing, walking, and lifting objects (trays and
- dishes) weighing under 10 pounds
