What are the responsibilities and job description for the Application Analyst position at Sheppard Pratt?
General Summary:
- Works collaboratively with users of Sheppard Pratt application systems to develop, implement and support the delivery of required functionality.
- Investigates processes to assure system capabilities and process requirements are aligned and plays a critical role in system design, development, testing, implementation, and support activities.
- Demonstrates system functionality and deliver training to system users.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2 years’ direct work experience utilizing systems workflows, system analysis and documentation preferably in a healthcare setting. Master’s degree plus internship/experience may be considered in lieu of formal work experience.
- Experience must include:
- Demonstrated proficiency and understanding of applications/workflows and system implementations;
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
- A general understanding of the overall operations of an enterprise class health care service provider;
- Previous experience with one or more SP core application systems is preferred (e.g. GE Centricity, Ross General Ledger, Allscripts Sunrise Clinical Manager or a comparable electronic health record solution).
