This is a full-time, on-site position located in Oklahoma City, OK. The Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) will work directly with clients to provide guidance, support, and resources to facilitate recovery. Daily responsibilities include fostering a positive and motivational atmosphere, connecting clients with appropriate community resources, offering peer counseling, and documenting client progress according to organizational standards. The PRSS will embody empathy and understanding through shared experiences and promote a recovery-oriented approach.
- Strong communication and active listening skills
- Experience providing peer support with the ability to build rapport and trust
- Knowledge of recovery principles, programs, and community resources
- Organizational skills for tracking client progress and managing multiple responsibilities
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and inclusive environment
- Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) credential required
- Experience in mental health or addiction recovery services preferred
