Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
SUMMARY: This person is responsible for working with the Pastor to prepare weekly worship services. Working as part of a team, they must be an excellent communicator and manage work flow in a fast-paced environment.
Competencies:
- Primary point of contact with Pastor.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Publisher.
- Fluent in all aspects of social media (webpage, Facebook, etc.)
- In-house CRM software.
- Confidentiality is an absolute must.
- Basic understanding of Christian faith and the church year.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with a strong eye for detail, proofreading and grammar.
- Ability to analyze information, identify and resolve issues using creative solutions, manage projects and team activities, and continuously strive to pursue training and developmental opportunities. Coordinate church events and keep schedule/master calendar.
- Strong organizational and time management skills are crucial.
- Manage incoming phone calls while completing other tasks, staying focused.
Requirements:
- Competent knowledge of MS Office and a willingness to learn additional software as necessary.
- Ability to write clear reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively to children and adults.
- While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to perform the essential job functions safely and successfully, consistent with federal, state and local standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with federal, state and local standards, and as expected by Shepherd of the Hills.
