HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR (must have basement excavation experience)

Shepherd Excavating, a 52-year old locally owned excavating, poured wall, and grading contractor located in the Dublin/Plain City Ohio area has a great opportunity available for an experienced Excavator Operator to perform excavation work for single-family foundations/basements and utility work. Work schedule is Monday through Friday with a start time of 7:15 am. NO weekends. NO night work.

Qualifications for the Excavator Operator position:

• 2 years’ on-the-job experience with residential basement excavation and utility work.
• Must have a valid driver's license with no major violations within the past 5 years. Class A CDL is a plus.
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
• Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation, loading and securing construction equipment on the trailer, and unloading equipment at the job site.
• Mechanical knowledge for conducting routine maintenance checks on equipment.
• Must adhere to all safety protocols and regulations at all times.
• Willing to perform other duties, as assigned.
• Must be able to climb in and out of vehicles and equipment, walk on uneven terrain, and regularly lift/move 20 to 50 lbs.
• You must live within 40 miles of our office.
