Job Overview
As a Custodian, you’ll keep facilities clean, safe, and welcoming through dependable cleaning, sanitation, and basic maintenance. You’ll use cleaning equipment and approved chemical agents carefully, follow safety protocols, and respond to facility needs with a customer-focused approach. This role may involve lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize assigned areas, including floors, restrooms, and shared spaces; support commercial cleaning and general facilities maintenance.
- Operate cleaning equipment, including floor buffers, and perform floor care and buffing.
- Handle chemical agents according to product directions and chemical handling safety procedures.
- Complete routine maintenance tasks and report repair or safety concerns promptly.
- Assist building occupants and visitors courteously, providing responsive customer service.
Qualifications
- Cleaning, janitorial, or custodial experience is helpful; commercial cleaning, porter experience, and facilities maintenance are also relevant.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment, floor buffers, floor care, and buffing is preferred.
- Ability to safely handle chemical agents and follow sanitation and safety protocols.
- Ability to perform manual handling and heavy lifting using safe lifting practices.
- Residential painting or other maintenance experience is a plus.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
