What are the responsibilities and job description for the Night Auditor position at Shenvalee Golf Resort?
SUMMARY: Verifies accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers by performing the following duties:
Hours are 11 PM - 7 AM every Thursday and Friday night.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Corrects errors or lists discrepancies for adjustment.
- Examines transactions posted by front desk clerks, golf shop attendants, and servers/bartenders to verify accuracy of recorded data.
- Prepares night audit form from daily transactions; calculates guest count, meals served, and rooms rented.
- Prepares night auditor comments for Controller.
- Reports to Controller and/or Front Desk Supervisor with any questions or concerns.
- Checks hotel guests in and out of rooms.
- Answers incoming calls to the establishment, transfers calls to appropriate persons, and takes messages for those unable to attend to calls.
- Counts all register drawers and any extra money bags to verify accuracy.
- Processes tickets and/or folios on the computer and balances money before finalizing daily night audit paperwork and at end of shift.
