Job Summary
- Work with a small construction team to install, repair, or replace overhead and
- underground communication lines.
- Knowledge and physical ability to place, construct, maintain, or remove outside plant
- facilities.
- Implements and carries out instructions from foreperson.
- Must be able to work aloft by means of bucket truck, ladders or climbing utility poles.
- Establishes a safe working area by observing company safety procedures at all times.
- Knowledge of damage prevention and hand dig best practices.
- Operates and assists with troubleshooting of construction equipment.
- Ability to read work site drawings and assemble materials required to complete work tasks.
- Work overtime, after-hours, weekends, holidays and available for emergency call outs as needed.
- Observes all company safety procedures at all times.
- Inspects work to determine and ensure compliance with prescribed operating and safety standards.
Education:
- High School Diploma is required for the role.
- Associate's/Technical Degree - two years is preferred for the role.
- 1 year of Construction experience is Required.
- 1 year of Telecommunications experience is Required.
- The ability to safely work and communicate with construction team members.
- Complete documentation in a timely and professional manner.
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Work Zone Traffic Certification.
- Working aloft and confined space training.
