Shenandoah Community Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Department Lead to provide clinical and operational leadership for our behavioral health services and to advance integrated, team-based care. This role partners with medical leadership and care teams to strengthen access, quality, and patient outcomes across the continuum of behavioral health care.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and support delivery of evidence-based behavioral health services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, brief interventions, and crisis support.
- Advance integrated behavioral health within primary care through consultation, warm handoffs, shared care plans, and care team huddles.
- Develop, implement, and maintain clinical workflows, documentation standards, and referral pathways that support high-quality, compliant care.
- Use data and quality improvement methods to monitor access, engagement, and outcomes; implement improvements and corrective actions as needed.
- Provide mentorship, onboarding support, and training to behavioral health staff; provide clinical supervision as appropriate to licensure and organizational policy.
- Partner with leadership and community stakeholders to expand services and strengthen coordination of care.
What You’ll Bring
- Active, unrestricted West Virginia license (or license eligible) as an independent behavioral health clinician (e.g., MD, DO, PMHNP), as applicable to the role and scope of practice (required).
- 3–5 years of progressively responsible clinical experience in behavioral health, including integrated care, community mental health, or a similar setting (required).
- Prior leadership experience (e.g., lead clinician, supervisor, program coordinator) and ability to support clinical consultation and quality improvement initiatives (preferred).
