Reporting

Responsibilities

  • Respond to members in a professional, businesslike manner and, when appropriate, advise members of the district or department to which concerns should be
  • Coordinate all system operations activities in accordance with polices, practices and
  • Use OMAPS and IVR in recording time, location and nature of trouble and relaying information to appropriate personnel; contacting restoration personnel; documenting reporting status, reporting contact, arrival and departing times, maintaining various reports and databases pertaining to disturbances on the distribution
  • Operate Advance Metering Infrastructure (AMI) software to perform load management functions, as well as troubleshooting during outages and other
  • Use GIS System to obtain geographic and database information and to make updates and corrections to this data.
  • Operate SVEC load management, including monitoring loads, determining load control strategies and their
  • Notify designated contacts of impending load control and BTP
  • Operate the SVEC SCADA system, including monitoring and controlling substation and down-line equipment after receiving proper
  • Monitor security and fire alarm systems and initiate responses according to established policies and procedures.
  • Understand and answer general questions about policies and procedures and handling disconnect lists after hours.
  • Operate the two-way radio system, trunked radio system, and a multi-line telephone system according to established

Education and Experience

  • Associate degree or related experience and/or training or equivalent
  • Experience with an electric utility in the operational field

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Must be able to maintain professionalism and control under all
  • Has and maintains a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record and is able to operate SVEC vehicles.
  • Must become and remain certified in CPR and first aid. Must also be skilled in the use of safety equipment.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able and available, during any and all types of weather conditions, to work weekends, holidays, evenings and other times outside normal duty hours to assist in service restoration and other emergencies that may arise or when the workload

Pay Range: $36.27-48.51 per hour

Actual compensation within this range will be based on the applicant’s experience, education, and relevant certifications.
