Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate is a dedicated early childhood professional who can create a positive classroom culture, build strong relationships with children and families, and lead developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
Candidates with knowledge of Conscious Discipline® and positive behavior guidance strategies are highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
- Create and maintain a positive, safe, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Use positive guidance techniques to support children's social-emotional development.
- Foster strong relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
- Observe and document children's growth and developmental progress.
- Maintain compliance with all licensing regulations and center policies.
- Supervise and support assistant teachers and classroom staff as needed.
- Communicate effectively with families regarding children's daily experiences and progress.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a licensed child care center or early childhood education setting.
- Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to build a positive and inclusive classroom community.
- Knowledge of Conscious Discipline® or similar social-emotional learning approaches preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- CDA, Early Childhood Education degree, or related credentials preferred.
- Must meet all state licensing requirements for lead teachers.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
