Position Overview
Location: Travel throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia
The Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing safety programs and compliance across construction projects in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. This field-based leadership role requires frequent travel to multiple job sites and ensures that work is conducted safely, in compliance with OSHA standards, and aligned with Shenandoah’s safety-first culture. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who conducts audits, training, incident investigations, and implements corrective actions to support field crews and project teams.
What You’ll Do
- Enforce safety protocols and company policies across multiple job sites
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and training for field crews and project teams
- Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and field staff to maintain a safety-first culture
- Maintain accurate safety records and reports for each project
- Travel regularly to job sites throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia
Required Qualifications
- OSHA 30-hour certification required
- 5–10 years of experience in construction safety management
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
- Knowledge of Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP) and pipe grouting is a plus
- Clean driving record (MVR) and able to pass background check
- Ability to travel frequently and start immediately
Work Environment
- Exposure to construction job sites, including varying weather conditions
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and inspect active job sites
- May be exposed to construction hazards and moving equipment
