Shenandoah Community Schools is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Industrial Technology Teacher for the 26-27 school year. This position works with 9th-12th grade students.
Classes covered with this position would be: Carpentry, Construction Technology, Drafting, Entry Level Metals & Welding, Furniture Design & Manufacturing, Intermediate Metals & Welding, and Wood Manufacturing.

Requirements: Meets licensure requirements of the Department of Education
- Valid State of Iowa teaching license, with appropriate endorsement(s) or certification(s)
- 5-12 Industrial Technology - 140
- Bachelor’s degree in position related area
Reports to: Building Principal
Responsibilities:
- Plans a program of study that, as much as possible meets the needs, interests and abilities of students
- Guides the learning process toward the achievement of stated goals and objectives
- Employs methods and materials that are appropriate for meetings stated objectives
- Assesses the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provides progress reports
- Maintains effective communications with the principal, students and parents
- Performs other duties as may from time to time be assigned by the board or administration
- Demonstrates ability to enhance academic performance and support for implementation of the school district student achievement goals
- Uses strategies to deliver instruction that meet the multiple learning needs of students
- Engages in professional growth
