Shen’s Gymnastics Academy features the latest in gymnastics technology, including regulation-sized spring tumbling floors, numerous sets of men’s and women’s equipment—such as bars, beams, vaulting equipment, pommel horses, rings, and trampolines—plus a 40-foot in-ground tumble track (trampoline), a 40-foot tumble strip, and a large foam-block training pit. We also have a separate preschool area with child-sized apparatus.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Gymnastics Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in gymnastics and related sports, with the ability to inspire and motivate students of all ages. As a Gymnastics Coach, you will be responsible for teaching gymnastics skills, promoting physical fitness, and fostering a positive and safe environment for all participants.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging gymnastics lesson plans tailored to various skill levels.
- Instruct students in proper techniques for gymnastics movements, including tumbling, balance beam, and vaulting.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
- Ensure the safety of all participants by maintaining a clean and organized training environment.
- Foster teamwork and sportsmanship among students while promoting individual growth.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding progress and any concerns.
- Assist in organizing gymnastics events, competitions, and showcases.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in gymnastics coaching preferred.
- A background in gymnastics is highly desirable.
- Experience working with students of various ages and skill levels.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate young athletes.
- Knowledge of behavior management strategies to create a positive learning environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
