Position Overview: Shen Milsom & Wilke is pleased to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and results-oriented Security Consultant with 8 years of experience based in the US to join our dynamic team in our San Francisco office. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to our mission of providing top-tier security solutions that enhance our clients' operational integrity and safety. Your expertise will be crucial in shaping secure environments for diverse projects.

SM&W has a hybrid work policy. This position requires three days in the office or on a project site and permits two days remote. We are seeking candidates who live in the San Francisco, CA region or nearby areas.

Responsibilities

• Project Management and scheduling, developing design budgets, quality control, adherence to client directives and project scope, performing site surveys and/or client engagement to develop design requirements.
• Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies tailored to client needs.
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential threats.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into project designs.
• Provide expert guidance on incident response planning and execution.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation for stakeholders.
• Foster strong relationships with clients to understand their evolving security requirements.
• Stay updated on industry standards and regulations to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• 4-year Engineering degree or equivalent experience required
• 8 years of comprehensive experience in the security systems design or design/build field.
• Proven experience as a Security Consultant or similar role in IT security.
• Strong knowledge of NIST standards, PKI, WAN/LAN technologies.
• Familiarity with identity & access management systems is preferred.
• Excellent analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset.
• Effective communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, PSP) are a plus.
