What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Veterinary Technician position at Shelton Veterinary Care?
Shelton Veterinary Care is a small animal practice located in Shelbyville, IN. We have been Doctor owned and operated for over 30 years.
We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician. The individual we are looking for must be reliable, friendly, highly motivated, a team player and have a flexible work schedule.
Full time Technicians work 4 nine hour days; no weekends.
If you are looking for part time, the hours would be Monday and Wednesday morning and Friday all day.
It is essential that the candidate possess an RVT license, maintain a caring and compassionate personality, proficient tech skills that include: anesthesia, medication knowledge, blood draws, IV catheter placement, proper restraint techniques and client interaction.
Personal Requirements: Enthusiastic with a positive attitude, highly motivated with a desire to learn, be a great team player, have the ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members and be committed to providing the highest level of patient care.
Job Requirements: Dispense medication, medical record documentation, place IV catheters, draw blood, give injections, collect urine samples, run fecal samples, cytology, blood chemistry panels, monitor patients under anesthesia and during recovery, educate clients, assist in exam rooms, as well as other duties required by the job.
SALARY IS COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE.
