Requirements
- Possession of a current State of Washington Department of Health Food Handler's Certificate.
- Prior school food service experience preferred (not required).
- Ability to pass a Federal criminal background check.
- Ability to transport food containers (with assistance) weighing at least 100 pounds.
- Possession of excellent communication skills including active listening and two-way communication.
- Ability and willingness to learn and implement new strategies and techniques.

- Prepares and serves meals, helps unload van, keeps appropriate food either hot or cold, and sets up serving lines.
- Directs assigned personnel, students, workers and/or volunteers.
- Cleans utensils, equipment and the areas used for storage, food preparation, and serving.
- Stores and disposes of unused food and gets food ready for transport.
- Transports food containers of varying weights and sizes.
- Order supplies and goods necessary for serving meals; provide inventories to main kitchen when appropriate.
- Maintains appropriate refrigerator and freezer temperatures.
- Manages daily participation counts and amounts of food used.
- Attends trainings and meetings as appropriate or directed.
- Develops and maintains positive, professional relationships with staff and students.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
