JOB DESCRIPTION: The Dean of Students and Athletics is responsible for providing leadership, coordination, supervision and evaluation of the districts' athletic programs while overseeing student conduct, discipline, school safety and initiatives that promote a positive school climate. This administrator serves on the Shelton High School leadership team and collaborates with district administrators, staff, students, families and community organizations to support student success and engagement.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: The Dean of Students and Athletics terms of employment, salary and benefits are in accordance with the agreement between the Shelton Board of Education and the Shelton Administrators' Council.
Work Year: 207 Days
Salary: $150,000

Requirements
- CT certification as an Intermediate Administrator (092) required;
- A minimum of five (5) successful years of teaching and/or educational leadership experience required;
- Administrative experience at the secondary level preferred;
- Coaching, athletic administration, student activities or related leadership experience preferred;
- Demonstrated knowledge of effective student discipline practices, school climate initiatives and restorative approaches;
- Demonstrated knowledge of athletic administration, student activities and extracurricular programming;
- Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents and community stakeholders;
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, consistency and student-centered decision-making;
- Proficiency with educational technology, data analysis and administrative management systems.
Salary : $150,000
