Coach/Dance Team at Shelton High School, 2025-2026 school year
Qualifications: Candidate must have experience with teaching dance.
Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification
Dance Team Advisor duties as assigned by Principal and may include but are not limited to the following:

Dance Team Advisor duties as assigned by Principal and may include but are not limited to the following:
- To attend and oversee all practices, performances and fundraisers.
- To attend all school functions for which the unit is performing and attending.
- To oversee the captains and assign their responsibilities and ensure appropriate behavior and routines.
- To monitor each member's academic standing and check grades to see if all members are eligible under the rules of their constitution. This will include and not be limited to appropriate behavior and team standards.
- To consult with the Band Director as to the scheduling of events.
- To keep the members of the unit informed as to any pertinent information that they need to know about.
- Check and keep an inventory of all equipment and uniforms.
- Work with administration, parents, and students when independent fundraising projects are in progress, adhering to all school and district policies.
- To organize and supervise tryouts for the incoming year.
- To organize and supervise tryouts for captains.
- To help coordinate their unit within the total framework of all the marching units.
