Shelton Group is a leading investor relations agency for technology companies seeking a dynamic, strategic and experienced Investor Relations Professional to assist with managing high-impact IR programs for our clients. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives at the intersection of corporate strategy, financial communications, and relationship-building within the investment community.
Position Summary:
As a member of the Shelton Group IR team, you will assist with designing, implementing, and executing investor relations strategies for client companies. You will provide strategic counsel to executive management while actively enhancing Shelton’s IR capabilities. This role involves close collaboration with C-suite leaders, analysts, institutional investors, and internal teams to enhance market visibility, strengthen shareholder value, and drive meaningful engagement with the financial community.
You will report to the VP of IR and serve as a key contributor to the IR account team and serve as a trusted advisor on all matters related to investor communications, positioning, and perception of client companies.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Communication & Relationship Building
- Serve as the primary point of contact with sell-side analysts, institutional investors, and shareholders—building and nurturing long-term relationships.
- Craft compelling investment narratives and successfully pitch client stories to generate analyst coverage, increase institutional ownership, and attract new investors.
- Draft and edit high-quality IR materials, including earnings releases, conference call scripts, corporate presentations, shareholder letters, and financial profiles.
- Conduct proactive outreach and follow-up with the investment community following events, mailings, and key announcements.
Research & Strategic Counsel
- Develop deep expertise in each client’s business, industry dynamics, products, and competitive landscape.
- Identify and prioritize target investors and analysts based on investment criteria, industry focus, and strategic fit.
- Stay ahead of IR best practices, SEC regulations and broader market/industry trends to deliver forward-thinking guidance.
- Monitor relevant business, economic, and competitive news to anticipate opportunities and risks.
Program Execution & Logistics
- Develop, update, and manage quarterly IR plans aligned with corporate developments and market conditions.
- Assist with preparation of quarterly progress reports and facilitate weekly/monthly client and team meetings.
- Partner with Shelton PR or external PR teams to ensure consistent messaging across all external communications.
- Manage logistics for road shows, investor conferences, and key events (with occasional travel).
- Provide management with timely, actionable feedback from the investment community.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proven track record in investor relations, ideally with an agency or in-house at a public technology company.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex financial and strategic information into clear, compelling narratives.
- Strong existing relationships within the investment community (analysts and institutions) highly valued.
- In-depth understanding of financial statements and valuation models
- Highly organized, proactive, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding teamwork skills and ability to effectively collaborate with others.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and IR database management tools.

Location: Shelton Group is based in Dallas, Texas (75 & Coit). While local candidates are preferred, we are open to considering remote arrangements for more experienced candidates.
