Summary
The Payroll Specialist (PS) is responsible for most aspects of the companies’ weekly and bi-weekly payroll processes. The PS understands the importance of providing an engaging work environment and is proud of the company they are a part of. The PS is a self-motivator, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and pay attention to meticulous details.
Duties and Responsibilities
Payroll
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payrolls using Connectmax, Workmax, ADP and Smartsheets
- Generate files used to import timesheets into billing software
- Respond to payroll errors noted during imports.
- Process internal timesheets in timekeeping system
- Review timesheet inputs for appropriateness with attention to job and cost code details
- Obtain all timesheet approvals via DocuSign from the appropriate supervisors
- Submit payrolls to management for review.
Qualifications
Education & Experience- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
- At least two years of related experience required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, in a fast-paced environment under a tight deadline.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with internal and external customers.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Technology & Other
- Working knowledge of payroll software
- Knowledge of ADP, Connectmax and/or Workmax a plus
- Intermediate MS Office skills
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- A neat, well-groomed, and professional appearance shall be maintained.

The job operates in a professional office environment using standard office equipment. Occasionally the job will operate in a field environment.

Core days are typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but hours are flexible and may extend outside of the core day with primary function being 100% completion of weekly billings. This position may require weekend and/or holiday work.
