SDS Business Development Representative
SDS are looking to expand the sales team with a BDR in the software / social housing sector.

You will play a key role in generating business for SDS. You will have the opportunity to display
your own authentic flair and personalise the role by bringing new ideas and strategies to the team. We

move to a SaaS-based model, so our business will evolve to ensure we continue to match needs of our
customers. We focus on product development, account management, and customer success.
What you will be doing:
You will be researching industry movements, capitalising on new market trends, sourcing new
contacts with the aim of building relationships and ultimately solving your prospects’ housing
development challenges.
Daily activities will include prospecting and building sales qualified opportunities for the team,
reaching out via phone, email and social networks. This will include personalised outreach
campaigns, qualifying prospects, and setting up discovery calls for the business development
managers. You will be using the various tools SDS has in place to actively engage and interact with
prospects and customers.
You will also have the opportunity to be unique in the way you communicate with clients and
promote the SDS brand. You will also be working closely with the marketing function to convert the
output of their efforts, as well as implementing your own style of interacting with our target
market/customer base. You will also be in attendance at Industry events, improving your knowledge
of the sector and building your own network of contacts.
Your first 3 months at SDS:
Month 1 You will be learning the industry, our systems and internal processes, and
meeting your colleagues. We will provide an introduction to the company, the sector and
our vision.
Month 2 You will have had your first qualifying call and increased your understanding
about what to look for in a prospect and how to progress the follow-up steps.
Month 3 You will have generated your first demo. You will be able to prospect, set up
your own campaigns, do qualifying calls. All with help and guidance from the established
team.
Month 4-6 - You will be experimenting with ways to better target your market, improve
the conversion rates of your campaigns, and have built a healthy pipeline of opportunities.
What you need to succeed
1-2 years experience as a BDR/SDR
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote working environment
Strong English language skills
An understanding of outbound sales tactics would be an advantage
Enjoy working with people and are a “people person”
Education to A-level or equivalent
