Sheltering Arms Institute is seeking a Wound Care Nurse to join the team. The Wound Care Nurse establishes standards of care and clinical competencies to meet rehabilitative patient wound and ostomy care needs. Consults for complex wound and ostomy patients and takes referrals from physicians and nurses according to the referral criteria of SAI and WOCN (Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurse certification) standards. Leads the development, coordination and monitoring of the hospital's wound care program in order to improve clinical outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills
· Minimum 2 years RN experience in the clinical setting required.
Education/Certifications
· Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
· Current RN license in good standing required.
· WOCN (Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse) certification required or actively pursuing and completion expected within 1 year of hire.
· AHA BLS HCP Certification
