Shelter Skin is a fast-growing, non-toxic skincare company based in Austin, TX. We create elevated, clean products rooted in purity and craftsmanship. All production happens in-house; from raw ingredient processing to filling, sealing, and boxing our finished goods.
We are looking for a Production Lead who is detail-oriented, dependable, and excited to be part of a rapidly scaling CPG company.
Role Overview:
The Production Lead will oversee daily manufacturing activities including batching, mixing, filling, sealing, packaging, labeling, and quality control. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who wants to grow with a company and take ownership of a high-standard production floor.
What You Will Do:
- Execute production batches following written SOPs
- Operate & clean equipment (mixers, melters, agitators, induction sealers)
- Accurately weigh, measure, and document ingredients
- Lead filling, sealing, capping, labeling, and boxing workflows
- Maintain strict standards of cleanliness, consistency, and quality
- Perform in-process QC checks (texture, aroma, fill weight, seal integrity)
- Train and guide production assistants
- Manage ingredient usage and communicate low-stock needs
- Support fast-paced production cycles during high-volume sales periods
Who You Are:
- Highly detail-oriented with strong visual & sensory quality standards
- Reliable, punctual, and calm under pressure
- Comfortable working with equipment and following structured processes
- Hands-on, positive attitude, team-oriented
- Able to lift 25–60lbs regularly
- Passionate about clean skincare and wellness (bonus)
Preferred Background:
- Cosmetic / skincare production
- Food production or commercial kitchens
- Soap or candle manufacturing
- Supplement or nutraceutical packaging
- Prep cooks, bakers, chocolatiers, baristas, or confectioners
- Brewery, tea blending, or specialty CPG production
- Experience with batching, mixing, or following SOPs is highly valued.
