Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Meat Manager to join our team of small family owned supermarket chain.
As a Meat Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the meat department, including food preparation, production, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards. If you have a passion for culinary arts, excellent customer service skills, and extensive knowledge and experience of the meat industry in a supermarket setting, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the meat department
- Ensure proper food preparation and production techniques are followed
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for meat products as needed
- Oversee the receiving and storage of meat products
- Train and supervise meat department staff
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their meat selections and addressing any concerns or questions they may have

Experience:
- Must have previous experience of Meat Manager in a supermarket setting
- Strong knowledge of meat cutting techniques and industry standards
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and guidelines
- Excellent knife skills and ability to handle various types of meats
- Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
