Position SummaryWe are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and personable individual to join our insurance agency in a hybrid role combining sales, customer service, and office management. The ideal candidate holds an active Nebraska insurance producer license (or is willing to obtain one), enjoys building relationships with clients, and can also keep the day-to-day operations of the office running smoothly. Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
- Generate new business through referrals, networking, cold calling, and community engagement
- Quote, present, and sell personal and/or commercial lines insurance products (auto, home, life, business, etc.)
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals set by agency leadership
- Cross-sell and upsell additional coverage to existing clients based on identified needs
- Follow up on leads and quotes in a timely manner
Customer Service
- Serve as a primary point of contact for client questions, policy changes, and claims support
- Process policy renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and payments
- Handle inbound calls, emails, and walk-in visits with professionalism and warmth
- Resolve client concerns promptly, escalating complex issues as needed
- Maintain strong client relationships to support retention
Office Management
- Oversee daily front-office operations, including scheduling, correspondence, and filing
- Manage office supplies, vendor relationships, and basic facilities needs
- Maintain accurate records in the agency management system (AMS) and carrier portals
- Support onboarding/training of new staff as the team grows
- Assist with billing, reconciliation, and basic bookkeeping tasks as needed
- Ensure compliance with agency procedures and state insurance regulations
- Active Nebraska Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health Producer License (or ability to obtain within [30/60/90] days of hire)
- 1 years of experience in insurance, sales, customer service, or office administration (industry experience strongly preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace; ability to learn agency management software
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Friendly, professional demeanor with a customer-first mindset
- Prior experience working independently in a small office setting
- Familiarity with Nebraska Department of Insurance regulations and licensing requirements
