What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist for Veterinary Practice position at Shelley Veterinary Hospital?
We are seeking a hard-working individual to work as a receptionist for our veterinary practice. This is not just a sit down receptionist position. It is very physically demanding so please keep that in mind before applying. If you are seeking a slow-paced, stationary position, this may not be the right fit for you. Along with the classic responsibilities of a receptionist, such as answering phone, scheduling appointments, etc., this position handles the patients and clients directly. Applicant must have some level of customer service experience and be able to handle various animal species. This position is the primary contact between the clients and the doctors so applicant must have excellent communication skills and be able to remain level headed if a client becomes confrontational. Though it is rare, difficulties can arise. Applicant must be driven and capable of absorbing training quickly and efficiently. We are looking solely for applicants that are looking for a long-term career and are planning to live in the area for several years. Please do not apply if you are not hoping for a long-term position. This is a full-time position. Experience within the veterinary field is preferred but not required.
