Shellback is looking for a full time Buyer responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials in support of our Coopersburg, PA manufacturing operations. Responsibilities
- Responsible for procurement of purchased materials, parts, supplies, equipment, and services in support of the manufacturing facility.
- Establish alternative sources for materials and services, negotiate with suppliers on delivery improvements, and proactively communicate delivery status to various company stakeholders.
- Investigate reasons for material delays, initiate corrective action and coordinate related problems with engineering, purchasing, inventory control, sales, and finance.
- Coordinate Engineering Change notifications with suppliers.
- Process rejected material and initiate corrective actions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Proficient in MS office suite (particularly Excel).
- Familiar with manufacturing, purchasing, and inventory control methods and processes.
- Ability to prioritize work and multi-task to meet the demands of the project schedule.
- Strong communication skills with vendors, customers, sales & marketing, and technical personnel.
- 2-3 years work experience.
- Bachelor or Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
