This role supports engineering teams in Shell’s Deepwater Gulf of Mexico Wells business through various data management and performance cadence responsibilities.
What’s the role –
In this role, the Engineering Technician supports the Well Engineering (Completions) organization through:
Tracking time, cost, and quality metrics and continuously updates scorecards for leadership reporting.
Interfacing with Engineers to track, report, and ensure compliance with internal processes.
Advising internal stakeholders on topics related to defined area of responsibility.
Supporting Performance and Planning team through annual business planning exercises.
Supporting the team’s continuous improvement cadence through tracking and updates within business systems.
Tracking of non-productive events and analysis of trends to steer improvement efforts.
Accessing, interpreting and communicating data from various PowerBI dashboards.
Assisting engineers in creating/maintaining files in SharePoint.
Maintaining team SharePoint collaboration sets.
Supporting the team in the implementation of new business systems and processes.
What we need from you -
A legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
With at least five (5) years’ experience in data management
Specific skills and experiences must include:
Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively interface with many stakeholders.
Ability to deliver in a hybrid work environment with face-to-face and virtual settings.
Experience in web-based, collaborative platforms such as Microsoft Sharepoint.
Experience in data-visualization tools such as PowerBI.
Experience supporting teams of engineers with data management and data analysis.
Experience tracking, interpreting, and reporting on data from various business systems.
Industry experience is preferred.

Salary : $75,400 - $95,500
