We are looking for a detail-oriented, reliable, and friendly Part-Time Housekeeper / Hotel Cleaner to join our team year-round and help us keep the lodge looking its absolute best!
Position Overview
- Job Type: Part-Time, Year-Round
- Location: Shell Lake, WI (315 Highway 63)
- Pay: $11.00 – $15.00 per hour (depending on experience)
- Schedule: Day shifts, including weekends and holidays based on guest occupancy.
Key Responsibilities
As a Housekeeper at Shell Lake Lodge, you are the backbone of our guest experience. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Guest Room Cleaning: Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms upon check-out and perform stay-over service. This includes making beds with fresh linens, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning windows/mirrors, and thoroughly scrubbing bathrooms.
- Common Area Maintenance: Keep the lobby, hallways, public restrooms, and shared guest spaces spotless, organized, and welcoming.
- Laundry Management: Wash, dry, fold, and organize lodge linens, towels, and bedding. Keep linen closets fully stocked.
- Detail & Inventory Check: Replenish room amenities (soap, shampoo, coffee, towels, etc.) and report low inventory levels to management.
- Maintenance Reporting: Promptly report any maintenance issues, broken items, or safety hazards in guest rooms or common areas.
- Guest Interaction: Greet guests with a friendly smile and offer polite assistance if they have questions or need extra supplies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- An Eye for Detail: You take pride in your work and notice the small things that make a big difference to a guest.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 25–30 lbs regularly throughout a shift.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and able to work independently as well as part of a close-knit team.
- Experience: Previous hotel cleaning or professional housekeeping experience is a plus, but not required. We are happy to train anyone with a great attitude and a strong work ethic!
- Eligibility: Must have reliable transportation to Shell Lake.
