A housekeeping houseman maintains the cleanliness, safety, and organization of public and private spaces, handling heavy-duty cleaning, physical setup, and stocking that regular room attendants or housekeepers do not typically cover.
- Heavy Cleaning: Vacuum carpets, mop hard floors, wash windows, dust high fixtures, and clean common areas like lobbies, hallways, and elevators.
- Support Housekeeping: Restock housekeeping carts, deliver fresh linens to rooms, and remove trash or dirty laundry.
- Maintenance Tasks: Fix minor issues like burnt-out light bulbs, leaky faucets, or scuffed walls, and report larger repairs.
- Setup and Heavy Lifting: Move furniture, arrange event spaces, and carry heavy boxes or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand or walk for long periods and lift heavy objects.
- Reliability and Independence: Self-directed work ethic to check properties and complete tasks without constant supervision.
- Basic Maintenance Skills: Familiarity with basic hand tools and minor property repairs.
