Packaging Sales Representative

Our client, a major manufacturer of polyethylene packaging products—including bags, pouches, shrink film, sheeting, and related flexible materials—is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to manage and grow a multi‑state territory. This individual will sell a full product line into diverse markets such as food processing, general manufacturing, beverage, lawn & garden, pet food, and construction films.

Approximately 80% of business is sold direct, with 20% through distribution—and the distributor channel is expanding.

Territory: New Hampshire → Carolinas (Ideal home base: Pennsylvania)

Key Responsibilities

• Drive new business development and expand existing accounts across a large geographic territory.
• Sell polyethylene‑based packaging solutions including films, pouches, bags, shrink film, and sheeting.
• Manage both direct customer relationships and distribution partnerships.
• Travel up to 50% to effectively cover the region and support customer needs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure product alignment, service excellence, and account growth.

Qualifications

• Outside sales experience in the packaging industry.
• Experience selling films, pouches, bags, sheeting, or related flexible materials (strong plus).
• Experience working for or with distributors (strong plus).
• Ability to travel up to 50% throughout the territory.
• Strong record of new business development, relationship building, and territory management.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: Up to $105,000
• Existing book of business: Generates $25,000–$45,000 in commissions
• Performance upside: Additional $30,000–$50,000 expected through new business growth
• Car plan full benefits expenses
• Uncapped earning potential tied to performance
