What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finish Carpenter/Handyman/Cabinet Installer position at ShelfGenie of Northern VA?
ShelfGenie of Metro DC is expanding in the area and we need immediate help to accommodate the huge demand!
We are currently seeking installation partners who are already talented craftsmen to install our custom Glide-Out shelving in customers’ existing cabinets. This is an opportunity for you to grow your business alongside ours. In addition to the installation of our product, our clients sometimes need other remodeling and fix-up work in their home, which can lead to additional side work for your contracting company.
Responsibilities of an Installer include: having good carpentry skills, taking accurate measurements, receiving job alerts via email, uploading measurements into our computer portal system, receiving product shipment, inspecting product for quality, scheduling appointments with customers, installing Glide-Out shelving at customer home, & updating computer portal system.
Excellent opportunity for independent handymen, cabinet refacing business, independent carpenters, kitchen/bath remodelers, or those seeking supplemental work. Installers receive a percentage of the job to install our glide-outs. We bring the customers to you (every appointment you do is already a contracted job.)
Coverage areas to be filled: Northern VA, Washington DC, and parts of MD
REQUIREMENTS:
- MUST have at least three years of verifiable carpentry/handyman experience with references
- Must value the importance of customer service
- Must be dependable, professional, prompt, motivated, organized, and exercise good time management
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have tools
- Must have computer with internet access and email
- Must have scanner and printer (Installer must have the capability to upload crucial documents)
