- Experience in clerical or school office work preferred
- Knowledge of attendance procedures and recordkeeping
- Proficient in the use of computers and office equipment
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Maintain accurate daily attendance records using the district's student information system
- Process daily attendance reports and notify administrators of excessive absences or patterns
- Communicate with parents/guardians to verify student absences and obtain appropriate documentation
- Prepare and submit reports required by the district, state, and other agencies
- Work with teachers and administrators to ensure timely submission of attendance data
- Answer incoming calls and provide general information or direct calls as needed
- Greet and assist campus visitors in a professional and courteous manner
- Process tardy slips, early dismissals, and student transfers
- Maintain confidentiality of student and family information at all times
- Assist with other general office duties such as filing, mail distribution, and data entry
- Work with frequent interruptions
- Maintain emotional control under stress
- Prolonged use of computer and office equipment
- Occasional lifting of materials and supplies up to 25 pounds
- Salary is commensurate with experience
