Job Summary:
Shelby Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, a premier provider of individualized, compassionate, and innovative healthcare services, is seeking a talented and innovative Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house 50-bed Skilled Nursing Facility therapy team in Sidney, Ohio. As a PTA, you will play a vital role in helping our residents achieve their full and meaningful potential.
About the Role:
As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) with Shelby Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, you will collaborate with our dedicated therapy team to provide treatment and care that enables our residents to live their best lives. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping our residents regain strength, mobility, and independence, whether it's returning home or transitioning to a new living arrangement.
Responsibilities:
Assist licensed physical therapists in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for our residents
Conduct physical therapy sessions, including exercises, activities, and modalities, to address specific rehabilitation goals
Monitor and record patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care
Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient treatments and progress
Requirements:
Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (Required)
Geriatrics experience a plus, but not required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
