Job Overview

Shelby Honda & Kia is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented F&I Assistant to join our Finance & Insurance Department. This position plays a vital role in supporting our Finance Managers by ensuring deals are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with all dealership and lender requirements.

The ideal candidate has previous experience working in an automotive Finance Department, understands the complete finance process from deal structure through funding, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced dealership environment. Experience with Reynolds & Reynolds is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Finance Managers with preparing, processing, and funding vehicle deals.
• Prepare and review finance documents
• Ensure all deals are complete, accurate, and compliant with dealership policies, lender requirements, and federal and state regulations.
• Coordinate with F&I and sales staff to ensure timely funding and deal completion.
• Follow up on missing documents, funding requirements, and outstanding stipulations.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while helping create a smooth and efficient buying experience.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail.
• Previous experience working in an automotive Finance & Insurance (F&I) Department is required.
• Strong understanding of the automotive finance process from contracting through funding.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced dealership environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication
• Proficient with dealership finance software and standard computer applications.
• The ability to maintain confidential financial information.
