What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Chain Analyst position at Shelby Engineering Solutions, Inc.?
The Supply Chain Analyst reports directly to the Project Materials Manager and is expected to help the company increase efficiency and reduce cost for the Department. He or she will support the company's inventory and supply chain needs with data analytics, inventory support and purchasing responsibilities. The Supply Chain Analyst will have the opportunity to contribute to the company's broad supply chain strategy and detailed inventory management best practices.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement supply chain projects, manage inventory levels for the group to ensure the right products are available in the right quantities for upcoming builds.
- Process incoming customer POs and acknowledge supplier orders timely.
- Mindful of cost and improved efficiency.
- Collect and analyze data to identify areas of opportunity and suggest improvement
- Oversee inventory procedures and be involved in improvement initiatives
- Work with logistics business partners and be involved with generating specifications during contract negotiations
- Collaborate with other departments to improve cross-department procedures
- Generate and monitor current metrics and report on department performance
Experience/Skills
- Proven experience as a Supply Chain Analyst or similar role
- Experience in data mining, analysis are reporting
- Familiarity with Purchasing, Planning, Program/Project Management
- Knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems, Oracle a plus
- Analytical mind with business acumen and problem solving skills
- Attention to detail
- High end communication skills
- Ability to work with others, train employees and develop individuals
- Demonstrate past success of reducing cost and improving processes related to warehousing
Education
- BSc / BA in a Supply Chain Management degree or certificate preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience with SC experience or equivalent Purch/Plann/ProjMng)
