Job Description
Full time position. Manage, collect, process and reconcile financial data to maintain accurate cash flow.
Responsibilities
- Monitor daily bank activity and maintain accurate cash records
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Process and post customer payments including checks, ACH, direct deposits, credit cards, PayPal, and energy assistance payments
- Scan and deposit incoming checks and transmit deposits to the bank
- Apply payments to customer accounts and ensure accurate daily posting and reconciliation to the general ledger
- Manage accounts receivable adjustments, including corrections and approved write-offs
- Assist with processing accounts under COD status and credit limit updates as directed by CFO/CEO
- Generate daily AR reports, summaries, and account balances for internal records
- Prepare AR documentation for mid-year and year-end audits
- Provide AR credit reporting to CEO for board meetings and manager meetings
- Respond to incoming calls and assist customers with payment application and account inquiries
- Maintain accurate and organized AR records in accordance with company policies and internal controls
Requirements/Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Google Workspace applications
- Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and coworkers
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to following all Shelby County Co-op policies and procedures
- Compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations
- Willingness to pursue continuing education and training related to job responsibilities
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to support departmental and organizational goals
- Ability to perform additional duties as assigned by the Administrative Office Manager or Chief Financial Officer
