Assistant Chef- Assisted Living

Part Time: 20 - 32 hours per week

Hourly rate: $16.00 - $18.00

Schedule:

• Two weekdays, per week
• Every other Saturday
• Every other Sunday
• 8:00AM - 5:30PM (one hour lunch break)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Cooks meals, serves meals, and prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty. Tastes all prepared food items.
• Must have some knowledge of therapeutic diets. (Mechanical Soft, Puree...)
• Cleans kitchen and dining room after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat. Ensures food and supply items are stored per state guidelines.
• Operates and maintains kitchen and dining room equipment as instructed.
• Assists in record keeping of all kitchen log according to State guidelines and reporting of any changes in residents eating habits as required.
• Assists in the receiving of all food and supplies as required. Assists in putting all food and supplies in their appropriate spots within the kitchen.
• Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the Executive Chef immediately.
• Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers.
• Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
• Performs any other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef and Administrator

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
