Shelburne Vineyard is seeking a responsible, highly motivated, and quick-learning individual to join our professional team as a Part-Time Tasting Room Server.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Providing a professional and warm welcome, and managing customer check-in procedures.
- Operating and managing the reservation system, including processing and securing future reservations.
- Executing table-side order taking and processing customer transactions efficiently.
- Serving our curated selection of high-quality wine and cider products.
- Preparing and presenting light culinary offerings, such as gourmet cheese boards.
- Delivering comprehensive and detailed education to patrons on the vineyard's heritage, our commitment to sustainable farming practices, and the specifics of our wine and cider portfolio.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of 2-3 years of professional serving experience in a restaurant or bar environment is strongly preferred.
- A demonstrable passion for, and existing knowledge of, wine and cider—particularly products crafted in Vermont—is considered a significant asset.
- The proven ability to rapidly acquire new information and effectively articulate detailed knowledge to a diverse customer base.
