Shef is a modern-day shared personal chef platform where we connect busy families and individuals with talented local chefs preparing high-quality homemade meals. We handle delivery, logistics, customer support, and payments so you can focus on cooking.
We're active in Los Angeles, SF Bay Area, New York, Seattle, and Chicago.
What You'll Do
If selected, you’ll be brought on to cook meals for our recurring subscription-based customers. Compensation is based on the number of dishes sold. You set your schedule and we help you optimize your menu to maximize sales. You’ll prepare dishes in your preferred kitchen and drop them off at a nearby Shef hub. From there, we take care of the rest.

Requirements
- 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen, catering, or as a private chef
- Valid food handler or manager certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- High food safety and cleanliness standards
- Reliable, independent, and passionate about cooking high-quality meals
- Culinary School degree and/or experience in restaurant kitchens
