Our Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a high-performing, experienced Operations Leader to oversee the manufacturing operations of pressure-sensitive labels and printed products. This is a pivotal role for a driven and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, entrepreneurial leader who thrives under pressure, brings energy and charisma to the organization, and consistently exceeds both operational goals and customer expectations.
This role is based at our Austin, TX facility and will require travel to other U.S.-based manufacturing sites as needed
Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of manufacturing operations, ensuring safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost efficiency.
- Execute upon capital expenditure budget and plans to expand technology and equipment.
- Develop and execute SOP's, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and other procedures to streamline operation.
- Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, etc.).
- Manage and develop plant staff, including supervisors, operators, and technicians.
- Manage 6-10 direct reports across Pre-Production, Production, and Post-Production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams both internal and external (Sales, Finance, Vendors, Customers, etc.) to ensure seamless product delivery and exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Build and foster a positive, performance-driven culture that aligns with company values.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies to meet or exceed targets.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and safety standards.
- Implement and sustain standard operating procedures across shifts and facilities.
- Support capital investment projects, equipment upgrades, and process automation initiatives.
- Travel to other manufacturing locations to support operations, integration, and scaling efforts as needed.
Qualifications
- Preferred but not required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 7 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in pressure-sensitive labeling, flexographic printing, or packaging.
- Proven track record of delivering results in high-volume, high-speed production environments.
- Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and quality systems.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and innovation.
- Energetic and charismatic leadership style, capable of engaging and inspiring teams at all levels.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; able to build strong relationships across departments and with customers.
- Passion for exceeding customer expectations with a deep commitment to product quality and service.
- Experience leading teams through change, growth, and high-demand conditions.
- Outstanding problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% to other manufacturing facilities.
