Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately fabricate sheet metal components.
- Operate a variety of machinery including CNC laser cutters, plasma cutters, press brake machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, and electrical discharge machining equipment to shape and form metal parts.
- Use hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments to perform quality inspections and ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Set up and operate CNC programming systems for machining operations, ensuring precise cuts and fabrication processes.
- Perform welding using various techniques to join sheet metal parts securely while maintaining structural integrity.
- Utilize forklifts and cranes safely to move raw materials and finished products within the workspace.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and tools to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
- Assemble fabricated parts according to specifications, ensuring proper fit and finish through meticulous inspection.
- Follow strict safety protocols at all times while working with heavy equipment or in elevated positions.
- Collaborate with team members on complex projects to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship.
- No experience needed. We are a registered apprenticeship program.
Pay: $36.28 - $60.24 per hour
