What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sheet Metal Fabricator position at Sheet Metal Solutions?
Sheet Metal Solutions is looking for a reliable sheet metal fabricator to join our fab shop.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, can work independently, accurately follows prints and measurements, and produces quality work. The ideal candidate will be able to take a project from raw sheet metal through the complete fabrication process. Field installation experience is a plus.
Qualifications
- Experience fabricating sheet metal from prints or drawings.
- Ability to perform the complete fabrication process, including measuring, layout, cutting, forming, fitting and welding.
- Experience setting up and operating fabrication equipment and using hand tools.
- MIG welding experience required. TIG welding experience is a plus.
- Ability to use appropriate measuring tools to check work for accuracy.
- Must be able to work safely and productively in an industrial shop environment.
- Must be physically able to routinely lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to provide your own basic hand tools.
- Field installation experience installing ductwork, equipment, hoods, chutes, guards or other fabricated sheet metal is a plus.
Pay
Depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
- Optional overtime as needed
Requirements
Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment non-DOT drug screen, which includes marijuana.
Pay: $26.00 - $36.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
