MERCHANDISER

Reports To:  Operations Manager               

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Summary: Responsible for performing daily inventories of markets, merchandising, and transporting product to and from our warehouse.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drives transit to and from customer location daily to perform merchandising
• Checks for outdated and damaged products in micro markets
• Delivers product from our warehouse to customer location, and returns products from customer location to our warehouse
• Communicates with management about any product outdates or issues they may notice while on customer location
• Transport product to shelves and coolers
• Maintain merchandise in neat and organized order
• Service accounts within times established by Operations Manager
• In-depth cleaning of shelves, coolers, and equipment
• Builds and maintains customer relationships
• Listens to and resolves service complaints.
• Collects or picks up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise.
• Cleans inside and outside of transit
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Experience and Requirements:

• High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
• 6 months of professional driving experience preferred
• Valid Drivers License

Days:

• Monday thru Friday 7am to 3:30pm

Pay:

• Starting at $16 per hour

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the individual is to remain in a stationary position for 60 percent of the time while operating the vehicle.  They constantly operate company transits. They use their hands continuously while performing all job duties. Most of the activities involve fine and gross manipulation of items.  They must be able to stand, kneel, bend, climb, and occasionally lift product over their heads. They must be able to exchange accurate information with other individuals in the office and shop.  Must be able to detect mechanical issues and part defects from short distances to determine what action needs to be taken.  They must regularly lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 60 pounds. The individual must be capable of carrying and loading and unloading different products.

Work Environment:  

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; hot and/or cold conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
