Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating various types of heavy machinery on construction sites, ensuring safety, efficiency, and precision in all operations. Duties
- Operate heavy machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks to perform earthmoving, grading and material handling tasks.
- Manage equipment such as dump trucks, trucks for transportation of materials.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Follow project specifications and safety protocols during all operations.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently and meet project deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and related machinery.
- Knowledge of construction site safety standards and procedures.
- Mechanical knowledge related to the maintenance and troubleshooting of heavy machinery.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for operating trucks such as front loader trucks, dump trucks
- Experience with farm machinery
- Strong understanding of construction processes and ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to read technical manuals and operate machinery with precision.
- Relevant certifications or training in heavy equipment operation is highly desirable.
