Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS ensuring clear communication with the kitchen and bar staff
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Manage cash handling, cashiering duties, and process payments efficiently using POS systems like OpenTable or other restaurant software
- Assist with food handling, sanitation, and food safety protocols to ensure a safe dining environment
- Support team members by bussing tables, resetting stations, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Engage with guests to foster positive relations, handle inquiries professionally, and resolve any concerns promptly
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery in line with quality standards
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and wine or beverage pairings to assist guests effectively
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs
- Strong knowledge of ToastPOS systems for order processing and cashiering
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and enhance guest experiences
- Culinary experience or familiarity with food preparation techniques is highly desirable
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine guest engagement
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, billing, and change calculation
- Experience with serving alcohol responsibly in compliance with local regulations
- Strong communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with kitchen staff and team members
