Alaska Northstar Federal is looking for a Operational/Technical Support Analyst III "Configuration Manager" to join our team on a long-term project to be awarded soon.
The Operational/Technical Support Analyst III “Configuration Manager” will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
Candidate minimum requirements
Candidate must be US Citizen
Candidate must have a Bachelors degree
Candidate must have an active DoD Secret Clearance at minimum
Candidate must have an active CompTIA Security CE or other applicable active 8570 IAT Level II Certification
Candidate Must Have 8 Years' Experience With The Following

The Operational/Technical Support Analyst III “Configuration Manager” will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
- Maintain and organize configuration settings.
- Ensure that configurations are consistently documented, tracked, and controlled to support seamless team collaboration and tool reliability.
- Manage versioning of configurations to ensure proper rollback and update processes.
- Oversee integration of plugins and custom components, ensuring compatibility and optimal configuration.
- Develop and implement change control processes for configuration updates.
- Ensure configurations align with project requirements and business needs, applying version control best practices.
- Document configuration changes, version histories, and workflows in Confluence.
- Establish and enforce configuration management standards and guidelines for the Atlassian toolset.
- Troubleshoot configuration issues, and work with support as necessary.
- Act as a resource for internal teams needing support or guidance on configuration best practices.
- Establishes and enforces organization standards, maintaining system integrity and security.
- Configure Jira Workflows to allow for the modification and creation of boards for tracking work
- Manage releases at an enterprise level in an agile environment including:
- Creation of documentation and confluence pages for major and minor releases
- Continually update release documentation, or coordinate the update of release documentation
- Schedule and lead release communications and meetings as required

- Manages how software is designed, deployed, sustained, modified and constructed.
- Utilizes techniques and tools to track and manage source code control, baselines, configuration identification, configuration control, CM tools, revision control, object build tracking, and release construction in accordance with CM techniques employed within the customer's policies and strategies.
- Recommends methods to optimize organizational CM processes.
- Conducts audits and reviews/analyzes data and documentation.
- Capable of supporting multiple software and hardware related initiatives simultaneously.
- Shall be responsible for configuration management on all information systems hosted in the customer data center.
